Wrist Ultrasound

Wrist Ultrasound at Toronto Centre for Medical Imaging

Wrist pain is very common in all age groups. Pain could be from repetitive injury (such as De Quervain’s tenosynovitis seen more and more with increased use smart phones with qwerty keyboards such as the Blackberry), masses (such as ganglion cysts from minor or major trauma), tendon or ligament tears from more blunt or penetrating severe trauma, or chronic pain from arthritis.

At the Toronto Centre for Medical Imaging (TCFMI), we have been doing wrist and other musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound examinations for more than 15 years. All ultrasound technologists at TCFMI have been trained by the quality advisor and Radiologist, Dr. Al Ismail who has performed and interpreted thousands of MSK Ultrasound examinations in his career. Wrist Ultrasound in experienced hands can detect tendon pathology with a high degree of accuracy. Ultrasound is fast, provides a dynamic assessment of the soft tissues around the wrist and is cost effective.

At TCFMI, our wrist ultrasound appointments can be made quickly, with low wait times. When you call our office, one of our friendly staff members will take your call and give you options for the first available appointment that accommodates your busy schedule. When you arrive for your wrist ultrasound appointment, you will be greeted by friendly, courteous staff at our front desk and you will be taken in for your wrist ultrasound appointment on time.
