Toronto Centre for Medical Imaging: Ankle Ultrasound
Ankle pain is very common in adults. Pain could be from acute injury (either leading to a fracture or ligament tear), masses (such as ganglion cysts), tendon or muscle tears from sports injuries, or chronic pain from arthritis. Tears of Achilles’ tendon are easily seen with ultrasound.
At the Toronto Centre for Medical Imaging (TCFMI), we have been doing ankle and other musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound examinations for more than 15 years. All ultrasound technologists at TCFMI have been trained by the quality advisor and Radiologist, Dr. Al Ismail who has performed and interpreted thousands of MSK Ultrasound examinations in his career. Ultrasound in experienced hands can detect important pathology with a high degree of accuracy. Ultrasound is fast, provides a dynamic assessment of the soft tissues around the ankle and is cost effective.
At TCFMI, appointments can be made quickly, with short wait times (typically less than a week). When you call our office, a human being will answer your call and give you options for the first available appointment that accommodates your busy schedule. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted by friendly staff at our front desk and you will be taken in for your appointment on time.
To schedule an appointment at the Toronto Centre for Medical Imaging, call our office at 416 368 8488 from Monday to Friday between 8 AM and 6 PM or leave us a message after regular business hours and we will be sure to call you back the next business day.
